diy bow tie slippers - hand knit

These slippers are so cute! And comfy as well. These fit a size 6.5 shoe wearer. To make them a size bigger simply add a couple rows to the length in the center of the slipper (foot). These would make a great winter gift!

  8. BO leave a long tail for sewing.

With a length of yarn pinch your bow in the center to create a bow shape and wrap several times and tie off on the under side. Now using your long tails sew the bow sides to the slipper sides. Make sure to center it evenly.

Sew in all your ends.

Repeat for second slipper.

Once you get your pattern size down and the W/T rhythm this project goes very quickly. You could make slippers for all your friends holiday gifts! Make them even better and stuff them with nail polish, foot cream/soak/scrub/ or a pedicure gift card.

Also, a word of caution. Slippers are, well, slippery. If you are making these for someone who is older or accident prone you may want to add a bit of wool felt or leather or something to the sole. I saw some ideas on pinterest a while back!

Please let me know if you need any help with the pattern! Have fun crafting but only use this pattern for yourself and to knit gifts for friends and family. Do not sell any part of the instructions, pattern, or finished slippers. Thank you!
