hood river lavender - lavender daze

We were greeted by the owner of the farm, Diane, immediately upon arrival! I couldn't believe it! She was so incredibly sweet that my daughter wanted to go explore the festival with her. It was very cute!

Nestled above Hood River, OR with views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams this lavender farm is swoon worthy on it's own right. Add in two rows of local vendors, live music, ladybug releases, u-cut lavender, and wine tasting and I downright fell in love. It was a hot day but there were several tents set up for shade. My boys spent most of their time there while us girls braved the sun for some fun.

Our Children's Place's Teacher Janet was amazing! She face painted lavender and ladybugs on the kids and then took them out to release lady bugs. Even the littlest braved the hot sunshine to get in on that fun.

We took the girls out to cut lavender at the end of the day. Lot's and lot's of honey bees for sure but we were gentle with them and they were gentle with us in return. It's pretty cool to see them all in action!

The musician at the end of the event stole the show! His name is Ryan Mac and we all sat down to listen to him. He even had our little Angry Bird smiling!
